Who we are

321 Oak is a small studio operated by Jill Stapleton, with plans to incorporate as 321 Oak Inc., a Pennsylvania corporation, in the coming weeks. This notice will be updated to reflect the entity when incorporation completes.

What this notice covers

This notice describes what data we collect when you visit our website at 321oak.com, what we do with it, and what choices you have.

It does not cover:

• Checked Off, our productivity application (separate Privacy Policy publishes at checked-off.321oak.com/privacy)
• Project Acorn, our K-12 learning platform (separate notice when that site goes live)
• Third-party services you reach via links from our site

What we collect

321oak.com is an informational site. We do not have user accounts, do not process payments, and do not collect names, addresses, or other personal information through the site itself. The narrow categories we do collect:

Anonymous analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which pages people visit and where traffic comes from. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless and privacy-respecting by design - it does not set any cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect personally identifying information. The aggregate data we see includes:

• Pages viewed (anonymous)
• Referring website (where you came from)
• General geographic region (country level)
• Browser and operating system type

Standard server logs. Like all websites, our infrastructure (Cloudflare's edge) processes your request. Brief logs may include your IP address, the page you requested, and the time. These are used for security and operational integrity, and are governed by Cloudflare's own retention policy.

Email correspondence. If you email us at hello@321oak.com, we see your email address and whatever you wrote to us. Email arrives via Google Workspace.

What we don't collect

• We do not set cookies on your visit to 321oak.com.
• We do not use third-party trackers, ad networks, or marketing pixels (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no LinkedIn or other social trackers).
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with marketing partners or data brokers.
• We do not collect biometrics, location, or device identifiers beyond the routine browser/OS information described above.
• We do not respond to Do Not Track browser signals - but our site does not use the tracking technologies DNT was designed to address.

How we use what we collect

• Anonymous analytics help us see which articles people are reading, which referrers send traffic, and broadly how the site performs. We use this to prioritize what to write next.
• Email we respond to. We may keep a thread for ongoing conversation; we do not add you to a marketing list, and we don't have one.
• Server logs are used by Cloudflare for security and infrastructure; we do not analyze them for marketing purposes.

Where your data goes

• Cloudflare (our hosting and analytics provider) - receives anonymous analytics events and edge logs. Cloudflare's privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
• Google Workspace (our email provider) - receives email you send us.

We do not share data with anyone outside this list for marketing purposes.

Your rights and choices

Whether or not you live in a jurisdiction with specific privacy rights (the European Union, the United Kingdom, California, or others), you can email hello@321oak.com to:

• Ask what information we have related to you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Ask us to delete information we hold about you
• Ask any question about this notice

We will respond as soon as reasonably practical.

Children's privacy

321oak.com is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
